RunwayFBU moves to Aker Tech House in 2024

Right next to the Telenor Arena, a 35,000-square-meter office building named Aker Tech House is undergoing its final finishing touches to become an international tech hub for the future. In 2024, all seven floors will buzz with software companies from the Aker ecosystem, including key industry players like Aize, Aker Horizon, Cognite, the RunwayFBU team and startups.

"Very soon, it will be a center of international software competence. On this campus, we can continue to exchange ideas with all our fellow Aker colleagues here at Fornebu while attracting top talent from around the globe," says Aize CEO Jarle Skrebergene in a LinkedIn post.

At RunwayFBU, we're packing our screens and coffee mugs, moving just 50 meters from our current Tech Hub to the new building in February 2024. It might seem like a short distance, but it's a significant step. We will triple our space, including offices, meeting rooms, and social areas, to accommodate early-stage industrial software companies. Not to mention daily interactions with the most innovative companies in the Nordics. (Take a look at our neighbours below.)

"We are building a community dedicated to industrial software, providing access to capital, extensive networking opportunities, and top-tier talent. What sets us apart is our strategic proximity to leading industrial companies and technology environments within the Aker Group, offering access to Aker as a testing ground for innovative solutions. Our Tech Hub serves as a destination for startups and spin-offs from the Aker Group, and we are now opening for applications from entrepreneurs specializing in industrial B2B" explains our own Head of the Tech Hub, Thea Wiig.

In addition to access to Europe's fastest-growing industrial software community, RunwayFBU Tech Hub members enjoy a series of benefits, from advisors, workshops, social & professional events,  resource library, meeting rooms, gym membership, restaurants, to podcast and TV studio, and an auditorium.
